INKLING BY WACOM (by Wacom)

Wacom’s newest artist gadget is the Inking, a digital ballpoint pen that captures your lines as you draw on any sketchbook or piece of paper.

I’m unsure if I’d find any use out of this apart from novelty.

This looks interesting, but I’d like to see a video of it in action to see how well it actually works at capturing your sketches.  Does it really look like what you draw, or would there be something screwed up on it so you’d either have to touch it up on the computer or just draw the whole thing over again?  I’d also like to know how much it costs for replacement ink for that pen.  The thing costs $200, and you can get a nice Wacom tablet for that much, and those things don’t use ink.

That said, the portability of it, being able to draw on any paper, have it stored, and be able to upload it to my computer, would be why I’d get it.  The price, however, makes it in no way worth it, and I’m skeptical of its sketch capturing abilities.
